The Dust Will Answer is filled with adventure in discovering parts of LA as Lenny and Dave search for Kate. The description of these places are so well detailed it felt as if I was actually there. Richard Risemberg left no stone unturned in this amazing tale. You felt every sensation, this tale awoke every sensation for the reader and pulled you in deep and didn't let go until the very end leaving the reader hoping for more.

A great debut novel! Risemberg takes his knack for shrewd social commentary and weaves it into an excellent noir tale. [...] The first-person narration does a fine job of placing you in the gritty LA of yore while hinting at the changes to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Dust Will Answer as a companion during a recent vacation. The author does a great job of developing the characters and weaving together a twisting plot that keeps the pages turning. I'm not a bookworm, but this intriguing novel leaves me looking forward to Risemberg's sequel.
I loved this book! Shades of Mosley's Easy Rawlins in this gritty tale of a reluctant sleuth trying to help a buddy find his missing girlfriend in the industrial blight along the river in late 70's L.A.. The characters ring true, and the plot twists keep you turning the pages. Highly recommended for fans of noir fiction, especially anyone with any ties to L.A..

In his book "The Dust Will Answer", author Richard Risemberg has opened a door to a place, a time, characters, and events…all richly, intriguingly described. Once through the door, I found myself very much an enthusiastic "fellow-traveler" in the story, so wonderfully vivid are all the portrayals. Very satisfying, and so effectively transportive, I felt I could have brushed that Los Angeles dust off my hands when I finished. A marvelous story!

"Adventure comes when life narrows your choices and you have to act" ~Rick Risemberg.

Risemberg's "The Dust Will Answer" is a terrific book! I found it to be very entertaining and I often had trouble putting it down. As a native of Los Angeles, I especially enjoyed his unique descriptions of a city which is often difficult to put into words. Risemberg also has a great talent for creating characters with multiple dimensions, making the dialogue fresh and interesting.
