Okay, what have we got this week?

Well, on Orange 20 I note that it's A Time to Study, and I recommend a book and an article that might help folks make sense of the current turmoil in America, which certainly affects the bicycle-riding portion of the realm.

And at Flying Pigeon's blog, I report on Nck Richert's Los Angeles Public Street Libraries Ride in Readin' & Ridin', where we disseminated literature from the sublime (Shakespeare's) to the ridiculous (mine), on a tour of Little Free Libraries ranging from Cypress Park to Larchmont Village.

On Orange 20's blog this week, I revel in the simple fact that LADOT actually replaced the ineffective flexible bollards protecting Larchmont's bike corral with substantial posts! It shouldn't be cause for wonder, but it is…read Protection Racket for details.

Then on Flying Pigeon LA's blog, I tout my new part-time job as an Adult Literacy Coordinator for ht eLA public Library, and how it could help the Velorution! Check out Reading, Writing, and Revolution, and you just might agree.

Orange 20's post this week looks at LA's squares—or rather its faux-squares, and then changes its gaze to ponder the once-iconic Pershing Square downtown and its future, in When Is a Square Not a Square?

And Flying Pigeon LA contemplates the Second Street tunnel leading into downtown, and wonders what happened to all the complaints about traffic that frothed up from the automotive sewers after the bike lanes went in—because it's quite peaceful now, even at rush hour. Read Tunnel of Love.

Okay, I dispense two servings of unaccustomed optimism this week, starting with Hurry Slowly on Orange 20's blog, and winding up with Downtown Flowering in Flying Pigeon's columns. Read 'em and…smile!

Looks like I missed a week—it's been busy around here, though I didn't miss posting the usual rants, just announcing them. So here's a list of what you missed:

Rack 'Em Up
Space Cases
The Great Reset
Horsin' Around

Still timely, so take a look!
