If you have a taste for jazz standards and are sentimental about Christmas, then you might like vocalist Alexis Cole's new album--especially knowing that part of the proceeds go to World Bicycle Relief, which provides transportation and cargo bikes to persons in Third World countries, for whom they can make the difference between sustenance and abject poverty.Click here to go directly to the album page, or here for her homepage. (Unfortunately Cole's site is built in frames.) Style seems to vary eclectically from lounge bebop/soul hybrid, with intriguing detours along the way.
